Vanderbilt Trombone Studio

We are a team of conservatory-trained woodwind and brass musicians on a mission to disrupt the traditional lesson space. We work with dedicated musicians of all ages and skill levels. We believe music should be a vehicle for fun, growth, and curiosity.

With over 20 years of experience in Classical, jazz, and commercial music, we offer a holistic, student-centered approach to music education that’s accessible to all.

Nick got his undergrad from the University of North Texas, known for their high level jazz bands and commercial music prowess. He led a trombone quartet for 13 years where they taught masterclasses all over the world. He recently spent the last 10 years touring with Country Music legend Toby Keith. 

Karen holds an undergraduate degree from Boston Conservatory where she studied saxophone performance with a minor in woodwind pedagogy. She has spent the last 11 years working with music industry professionals in the classical music and jazz space. Karen is trained as an enneagram practitioner and uses various modalities that support compassionate teaching.
